For the Paris 2024 Olympics, dancer, choreographer and photographer Mathieu Neglect invited athletes to bounce with him for a collection of jaw-dropping pictures in iconic cultural spots round France. By these gravity-defying images with athletes, the Frenchman has succeeded in making images an Olympic artwork. Partially two of our arts24 Olympic exhibits, Mathieu Neglect speaks to Eve Jackson about working with fencing double world champion Enzo Lefort in Paris’s Petit Palais, taking part in handball within the Paris Fashionable Artwork Museum and the frequent values shared between sport and the humanities.
