Kim Deal of the Breeders (and previously of Pixies) has introduced her debut solo album: No one Loves You Extra will arrive on November 22 by way of 4AD. The ten-track assortment consists of the current single ‘Coast’, in addition to a brand new tune referred to as ‘Crystal Breath’. Test it out and discover the album cowl and tracklist beneath.
The oldest songs on No one Loves You Extra, ‘Are You Mine?’ and ‘Want I Was’, date again to 2011, shortly after Deal got here off the Pixies’ Misplaced Cities Tour and moved to Los Angeles. (Early variations of these songs had been included within the five-part, ten-song seven-inch vinyl sequence she self-released in 2013.) The final recording for the LP happened in November 2022 with the late Steve Albini, who helmed nearer ‘A Good Time Pushed’ at his Electrical Audio studio in Chicago.
Collaborators on the LP embody previous and current members of the Breeders (Mando Lopez, twin sister Kelley Deal, Jim Macpherson, Britt Walford), in addition to Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub), Jack Lawrence (Raconteurs), and Savages’ Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan. No one Loves You Extra was combined by Marta Salogni and mastered by Heba Kadry.
